Bio:

Hi, I’m Amreen Nagra and I go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My career goal is to be a Human Resources Specialist at a company that I feel comfortable working for.

I want to be an advisor because I know how difficult it is to start at a university having no idea if you’ll be able to find another Sikh student there that you’ll be able to bond with. I want to help others find their Sikh mentor, friend, study buddy, etc at the university of their choice. I want to help people feel less alone in the world.

Bio:

I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill, studying biology on the pre-med track. Some of my interests are reading, watching movies, and being active. I want to be an advisor in order to guide high school students using my unique past experience, so they can transition into college with ease.

My name is Akum Dhillon, I’m a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill from Richmond, Virginia. I’m a neuroscience and computer science major and am premed as well. My goal is to cure Alzheimer’s disease. I am huge into soccer and play in college and have player overseas. I am a first generation Sikh-Indian-American and want to be able to help others like me who may be struggling with the college process!

Bio:

Hey! My name is Jasmine Kaur and I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill studying business and economics. I am interested in consulting and social justice work which I would be happy to talk about. I am on a collegiate bhangra team and love thrifting, music and digital art.

I want to be an advisor to help students navigate college as a Sikh student. I’ve had great Sikh support and mentors so I want to provide that to others. Would love to chat about academics, identity, hobbies, etc.
