Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! My name is Tandeep Kaur and I’m studying political science, communications and theatre while on the pre-law track at Baruch College. I’m passionate about advocacy in the Sikh community and beyond and am a matcha fanatic!

I want to be an advisor so I can help Sikh youth with their transition into college and answer any questions they might have. I was privileged to have my sister walk me through the process and I hope I can be that help for others!

Bio:

I started at Baruch in the Spring of 2020. Immediately I felt very welcome by Baruch’s large Sikh community. I am a part time student and run my own business.

I can guide new students on how to adjust schedules for their work schedule, if that is the route they would like to take.

Kiranveer Kaur

College Advisor @ Baruch College

Location: Queens, NY

Orgs and ECs:
United Sikh Association, Financial Quants and Engineers

Bio:

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! I am currently a junior at Baruch College majoring in finance and investments with a minor in communications. I am also minoring in computer application in business which is in the computer science area. I am currently the president of the United Sikh Association. I have a passion for music and love writing music on the side.

I want to be an advisor to give high school students the one thing I wish I had more of when I was in their shoes, guidance. Even with an older sister, it was hard for me to understand the college application process. As a first generation college student, I believe it is my duty to give others guidance because I know how strenuous the college process can be. The same way I had my big sister behind me every step of the way, I wish to be there for the many future applicants wishing to apply!!

Satleen Kaur

College Advisor @ Baruch College

Location: Plainview, NY

Orgs and ECs:
United Sikh Association, She’s the First, American Marketing Association (AMA)

Bio:

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! I am a senior majoring in International Marketing and minoring in Business Law and Management. I am currently VP of Baruch’s United Sikh Association. I work in real estate and investing and those have now become my hobbies as well.

I want to be an advisor to be the Vaddi Bhen that I never had! While I went to a privileged school and had proper college application guidance, I wish I had a Sikh mentor or an older sibling who’s gone through the process with whom I could relate to and openly discuss my college application experience.
