Bio:

Hi! My name is Simarjeet, and I’m currently a third-year at University of California, Berkeley. I’m originally from the suburbs of Philly, but love going to school in California. I’m studying applied mathematics with concentrations in computer science/data science. When I’m not studying, I’m playing with my dog, shopping, or hanging out with friends. I know the college application process can be really challenging and overwhelming, so I wanted to sign up to help anyone out who might also be as stressed as I was in high school. Feel free to reach out to me through email or instagram!

Ameek Bindra

College Advisor @ UC Berkeley

Location: Princeton, NJ

Orgs and ECs:
SSA, Health & Tech Innovations Fellow @ School of Engineering, Unmasked Project Berkeley President (mental health application), Epidemiology Researcher at School of Public Health, Bhagat Puran Singh Health Initiative,

Bio:

My name is Ameek Bindra and I am a Data Science & Human Biology undergraduate at UC Berkeley, originally from New Jersey. I am currently on a pre-med track, but am interested tech. On campus, I work with the Marshall Lab at the School of Public Health, where I am developing data analysis pipelines for the epidemiological applications of mosquito-borne disease. Using her interests in health and tech, I am also part of the Fung Fellowship, where she I apply my technological knowledge to prototype solutions to bridge disparities in health. Outside of school, you’d probably catch me at a cafe hunting for a decadent mocha or making a new Spotify playlist for my long collection. I’m interested in helping out as an advisor because I believe mentorship can go a very long way, especially when applying to schools. As the elder sibling, I was constantly confused about the process and made a lot of mistakes — so I would love to guide others who may be in the same boat as me.
