Bio:

Hey everyone, I’m Jhujhar! I am a part of a dual degree program where I am a Political Science Major at Vassar College and an Energy Engineering Major at Dartmouth College. I am from New Jersey, but also had the privilege to go to high school in New Delhi, so I am a part of the international community at Vassar. At Vassar I am the president of the Sikh Student Association. I work with the college as a Pratt Fellow to promote an inclusive community. I am a part of a game design club at Vassar. I have participated in student theatre productions in the past, and I am involved in intramural sports. I also work at the admissions office at Vassar. Additionally, I am a part of a men of color group for both of the schools I go to.

As a Dartmouth student I’m involved with several energy and sustainability efforts. I am in the Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering club, which works to create solutions to problems in specific developing countries. I have worked as an intern in the U.S. Senate for Senator Cory Booker and Senator Robert Menendez. I have also worked for the International Rescue Committee, to help refugees in New Jersey find employment. My interests, evidently, are all over the place, so I would love to help anyone as an advisor find what they are passionate about. Most importantly, I love when Sikhs support one another as our identity is our true power.

Frequently Asked Questions

6 at Claremont McKenna and about 15 in the 7 College Consortium

Aim to be in the top 10%-15% of your class. The average ACT is 33. CMC put a ton of focus on how you’ve applied your learning via ECs so don’t stress too much about scores and grades.

Definitely Economics, Government, Psychology, International Relations, and PPE (Philosophy Government and Economics). We get the rap of being a Econ bro school but some of our other majors like Philosophy and Religious Studies really standout among top schools.
