Bio:

I’m Himmat graduating senior at San Jose State University majoring in Computer Engineering. I am also an international student here at SJSU and have been a member of Sikh Student association from last 3 years. I like to travel, play various sports and video games during my free time.

Helping other students is great way to give back to the community. Getting into colleges and succeeding during your first couple of semester is a tedious process especially when you move away from home but also very fun at the same time. As an SPN advisor I would love help or advise everyone who wants to know more.

I am also an assistant instructor at a local martial arts school and a seasonal volunteer tutor at a non-profit called Project Read.

Bio:

Hello! My name is Kelly and I go to San Jose State University. I am a third-year majoring in Justice Studies with an intended minor in Economics. When I am not doing things related to school, I am exploring new places to eat, reading autobiographies, and binge-watching Netflix! I wanted to become an advisor because I understand how overwhelming the college application process can be for students. Many first-gen Punjabi and Sikh students come from households where their parents work blue-collar jobs and have sacrificed a lot. Therefore, students who take the step to pursue higher education and create a better life deserve guidance and support. As a first-gen student myself, I hope to connect with enthusiastic people so we can empower each other and rise together as a community!
