Bio:
Hi! My name is Harkiran Kaur and I’m entering my third (and hopefully final) year at the University of Washington. I study informatics (basically the intersection of people, information, and technology), where as both a researcher and designer, I focus on the field of human-computer interaction. Outside of school, I like to do kirtan, do seva (currently working with the United Sikh Movement), play tennis, read, and spend time with my friends.
I want to be an advisor because I have advised many high school and college students in the past due to my job as a peer advisor in my department, and I think I could push that forward by doing this seva and making an impact on Sikh students.
